Phew! I wanted to do this critique since a lot of time now, I'm glad now I have the chance to do so.

First of all, the visuals on this deviation are something that anybody would like to see. I love the way Celestia has make up and just one of her eyes is visible. Also, her necklace, doesn't looks totally rounded but a bit squared is really neat. Details I like from Chrysalis are her wings and that lock of hair makes her look nice. They're acting totally according to the piece tittle. The positions are really well made and easily to appreciate, the fact that in the bottom Chrysalis is the one who is in front and then at the top she looks behind Celestia gives you a good impression of the structure of this piece upon examination.
Talking about examination, maybe you should have done Celestia's horn a lil' bit longer and Chrysalis' one thicker, just a recommendation.

While I tend to observe and see various pictures with Chrysalis along another character, it is rare to see one with Celestia being the partner; it's usually Nightmare Moon or King Sombra, etc, and is even better to see them as a team, original for my taste I say!

This point is something I thought at the instant of seeing this piece. I'm not saying that you are repeating your style over and over, I'm of course not saying that your techniques are getting rusty and much less that you should completely change your art means. What I think when I see this deviation is that you have an extensive pony gallery and while you have improves A LOT from your first deviations to the most recent ones in terms of coloring, poses and such, I think you should experiment with other kinds of techniques, (that if you want, of course), so you can discover new art means and that you are good with other styles. It's a pleasure for the fans to see our favorite artists to try new artistic skills, so if you want, go on with new ways of creating art!
Another recommendation would be not using "lens flare" but a Photoshop brush with sparkles, they look prettier.

This image, whether you are a pony fan or not, will give anyone a impression of what you are able to do, and that's an amazing piece of art!
And a final tip: The holes on Chrysalis hair should be thinner for that amount of detail she has on it.

This is a really good quality piece and it simply invites you to keep staring at it, from the colors to the characters, Celestia's hair, etc, just as every art I have seen from you, this really shows that you put a big amount of efforn on it, keep doing that and is OK if you don't want to experiment another technique, just keep doing what you love to do for I will follow anything you have to submit, you can count with that.
