Bigger and Better Than You


These are art pieces I was working on for my workplace at the bank

UPDATED VERSION (what's currently going on with me): Not too long after my father had a stroke (usually things tend to happen in threes); my mother gets into a serious car accident and my grandmother whose had dimensia for almost a decade, passed away.

So not only did I have to hope and pray for my father to get better, my mother almost dies in this car accident because the air bags didn't deploy and the driver hit her head on. I thank God for saving my mother because the person t-boned my mom's vehicle on the passenger's side. It's a miracle, but the car was absolutely destroyed. Then not too long after; my grandmother passes away and it's the one that's married to my grandfather who recently passed away a few months ago. I guess when you really love someone you'd want to go together. She was very ill and unfortunately her time was drawing near. I'm glad my grandparents are together again. Last but not least, my father is still in the hospital. That's a whole other issue. So that is what's been going on with me for the past little while.

The other day my father wasn't feeling the greatest. He came up to me and said, "I think I had a stroke." He wasn't able to formulate a sentence properly, words weren't able to reach his very lips. It was a struggle. He thought it was nothing, we fed him that night and my dad noticed that he began to feel a lot better. Me and my family insisted to him to see a doctor.

The next day he was convinced to finally see our family doctor. As soon as my father visited, he was informed to immediately go to the hospital. My dad has been at the hospital for the past few days. Doing all these tests, injecting him with many needles and forcing a variety of pills down his throat. It's really upsetting...... they not only said that he suffered a stroke, but they had found something else...... which happened to be a "spot" on his heart. The doctors stated that they need him to be at the hospital for at least a week. They said this "spot" was the very thing that caused him to have a stroke.

If you were to converse with my father; he seems fine, he is very able-bodied and has a passion for cars..... with that all being said the human body is still very fragile. I feel so conflicted, I don't know what to do, how to react, how to feel, anything. I feel so powerless and helpless. I lost my grandfather a few months ago, and my other grandfather is back at the hospital again, my uncle still has leukemia and now.......my father had a stroke.
